Surrey– BC NDP MLAs Harry Bains, Garry Begg, Jagrup Brar, Bruce Ralston, Rachna Singh, Jinny Sims and Mike Starchuk say grants for local not-for-profit organizations will support sports organizations so that people can stay active and healthy in Surrey.

“Sport plays a vital role in fostering strong and resilient kids and communities,” says Jinny Sims, MLA for Surrey-Panorama. “With this funding sports organizations in Surrey will be able to continue to serve the people in our community.”

Over $2.1 million in funding for 44 organizations in Surrey is part of the $25 million in Community Gaming Grants that will be shared among 736 organizations that deliver sports programs or services across BC that will improve the quality of life in their communities.
