Nearly $120,000 in funding for six organizations in Mission are part of the $25 million in Ministry of Municipal Affairs Community Gaming Grants that will be shared among 736 organizations that deliver sports programs or services across BC that will improve the quality of life in their communities.

  • Mission Marlins Swim Club- $18,750

“Investing in community sports organizations fosters healthier, happier communities,” said Bob D’Eith, MLA for Maple Ridge-Mission. “Whether you’re an athlete or a spectator, everyone in B.C. benefits when we help boost local sports.”

The Ministry of Municipal Affairs Community Gaming Grants Program distributes up to $140 million worth of grants annually to not-for-profit organizations across British Columbia that improve and enrich the lives of people and communities. These include sports, arts, environmental, quality of life, and health and safety organizations. These grants help approximately 5,000 organizations to deliver ongoing programs and services in their communities.
