Rustad must fire Ratchford over homophobia, says Elmore

B.C. NDP MLA Mable Elmore is calling on John Rustad to fire Vancouver-Point Grey Candidate Paul Ratchford over homophobic tweets.
In May 2022, Ratchford criticized BC Liberal MLA Elenore Sturko for being a “FAR LEFT… woke, lesbian.”
Mable Elmore, B.C. NDP MLA for Vancouver-Kensington:
“Members of the queer community are feeling attacked and threatened by John Rustad and his party. Now one of his candidates is singling people out and attacking them over their sexual orientation. If he doesn’t fire Paul Ratchford, he’s making it clear that he tolerates homophobia in his party.”
