Today, Ottawa will host the “National March for Life”.

If you aren’t familiar with this event, it is the conservative party’s favourite gathering to talk about how they want to block a woman’s right to choose.

This year, Pierre Poilievre has some exciting news to share:

Poilievre won’t rally for women’s rights, he’s in Parliament to march all over them.

“People have a right to know what Pierre Poilievre’s Conservative party is about,” said NDP critic for Women and Gender Equality Leah Gazan (Winnipeg Centre). “In the same week, the Conservatives voted to deny millions of people access to free birth control and promoted harmful petitions about the ‘rights of the fetus’. Today, Conservative Members of Parliament are out supporting another attack on women and openly showing they want to walk back reproductive rights into the dark ages. It’s deplorable. New Democrats are fighting back every step in the way. We will always stand up for Canadians’ right to choose.”
