Build Kamloops – Multi Purpose, Versatile Facilities

April 24, 2024 at 2:17 pm  Kamloops, Municipal, Politics

Build. Grow. Connect. Repeat. #buildkamloops
Guided by feedback from public working groups and committees, our approach ensures that facilities are multi-use and community-oriented, considering a wide range of local needs. We’re committed to creating spaces that are accessible and family-friendly, catering to all ages and abilities, and leveraging strong community partnerships to enhance each development.

To achieve this, we’re strategically planning each development to capitalize on all potential funding opportunities and ensure alignment with what our community truly wants and needs.

To meet the ideal of building community through recreation, the following amenities and services will be considered when planning each facility:

• Accommodations (both housing and hotels)
• Child play spaces
• Daycare services
• Fitness centres
• Food and beverage services
• Office space

By designing our facilities to be flexible, we ensure they can accommodate a wide range of activities and adapt to changing community needs over time. This versatility makes each facility a valuable asset that can grow and evolve with Kamloops, always ready to meet the next challenge or opportunity.

Visit the Build Kamloops website to learn more about the initiative.
