Canada’s NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh made the following statement:

“On behalf of all New Democrats, to all those observing Good Friday and celebrating Easter this weekend, we wish you a happy and joyful Easter.

This weekend, families and loved ones across the country will gather to celebrate and cherish this moment of being with one another around a meal, at Church service or going on an Easter egg hunt. It’s also a time for Christians to reflect on sacrifice, compassion and the value of helping those in need.

For many people in our country, the Easter message of renewed hope for the future resonates strongly, marking a moment for new beginnings and celebration of the new season.

New Democrats wish all Canadians observing this holiday a wonderful Easter filled with family time, peace and joy.
