Transgender Day of Visiblity – TRU Newsroom

March 27, 2024 at 1:07 pm  Education, Kamloops, News

Every March 31, the International Transgender Day of Visibility celebrates transgender people and acknowledges the struggles and discrimination that the trans community might face.

TRU supports everyone in being who they are, so that they feel they belong here. That sense of belonging, Kw’seltkwnéws, is central to the university’s vision as a place of community and connection.

The transgender flag is raised on campus to express support and recognition.

Staff, faculty and students are invited to explore resources and information provided by the Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism.

Student Services offers a space for discussion, support and a sense of community.

Please connect with Noah at the Gender and Sexual Diversity office at [email protected] or refer to this web page for campus and community resources.
