Land acknowledgement workshop – TRU Newsroom

February 22, 2024 at 4:33 pm  Education, Kamloops, News

Join us as Marie Sandy, Manager – Indigenous Student Development, leads this workshop in helping you write a thoughtful land acknowledgement.

As a Secwepemctsin language teacher, Marie will also teach you to pronounce local Secwépemc community names.

This is a safe space to learn about our local Indigenous community and practice giving a land acknowledgement in a non-judgmental environment.

Bring your drafts and questions!
