Kamloops, BC – The local a cappella quartet Slow No Tempo is thrilled to announce that their 2024 Singing Valentines fundraiser was their most successful to date. Thanks in part to some generous additional donations the quartet has raised $1,300 for A Way Home Kamloops. A Way Home Kamloops Society supports youth with housing and programming; the money raised from the Singing Valentines will go directly to youth in our community. Because of your support, youth who may otherwise be homeless will be connected with housing, training, education, financial support, health and mental health resources, and other support they need to lead full and healthy lives.

Slow No Tempo made 32 deliveries across Kamloops this year: 8 in Downtown, 6 in Sahali, 5 in Westsyde, 3 in Aberdeen, 2 each in North Kamloops, Brocklehurst, & the Mt. Paul Industrial Area, and 1 each in Valleyview, Juniper Ridge, Bachelor Heights, & Pineview. Quartet member Ryan Noakes said about their annual fundraiser, “It is always an incredible privilege and pleasure to be entrusted with delivering messages of love and caring throughout the city. We share in beautiful moments, seeing the full emotional impact of the delivery and telling people they are loved, cherished, respected, and valued. We also enjoy watching people get epically embarrassed, join in on the song, and all the myriad of other reactions. And, we’re doing it all for a great cause every year.”

The quartet would like to thank everyone who ordered a Singing Valentine this year, and invites the community to suggest a local charity to be the recipient of their 2025 Singing Valentines by filling out the nomination form on their website.
