Repair Café to Be Held at Thompson Rivers University

Do you have something that needs fixing? Would you like to repair it rather than replace it? Bring it to the Repair Cafe! Our team of volunteer experts will assist you in troubleshooting the problem and show you how to repair your item. Anything you can carry in (except computers and cell phones) is fair game: lamps, hair dryers, toasters, clothes, bikes, furniture, toys, etc. And here’s the best part: it’s free!

The event, a joint effort of Transition Kamloops and The Sustainability Office of Thompson Rivers University (TRU), will be held on Saturday, November 18th from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the main library located in the Brown Family House of Learning (965 College Drive).

Since 2018 our skilled volunteers have saved hundreds of items from the landfill. The Kamloops Repair Café is an initiative of Transition Kamloops, a local not-for-profit dedicated to building a more resilient community. The Repair Café is supported in part by a City of Kamloops Climate Action Grant to help Kamloops achieve its Community Climate Action Plan.

DON’T TOSS IT, BRING IT TO THE REPAIR CAFE!
