Repair Café at the TRU Makerspace – TRU Newsroom

November 15, 2023 at 10:51 am  Education, Kamloops, News

The Kamloops Repair Café is being hosted in the TRU Makerspace for a repair event.

Students, staff, and members of the public can come and get their broken items fixed, whether its furniture, clothing, or appliances (excluding electronics such as cell phones).

Volunteers with a range of skills and backgrounds will be present to assist with all kinds of repair needs and can also offer education on skills for how to fix household items.

Repairing items instead of tossing and purchasing more is a great way to involve the community in sustainability, and the event has been coordinated by students in the Sustainability in Action course at TRU.
