Wildfire researcher Dr. Mike Flannigan says the area of forested land in BC is so large that reducing the fire risk across all of it will not succeed because you’d have to address 30 to 40 per cent of all forests to make a difference. Instead, smaller pieces should be targeted, for example, in the Okanagan. Read more
