Urban Tree Tour

September 20, 2023 at 9:41 am  Kamloops, Municipal, Politics

Trees are an important and amazing part of the Kamloops community. Our Parks team has chosen eight of their favourites to share with you, as part of the Urban Tree Tour.

Whether it’s due to their seasonal colour, size, rarity, or their unique flowers, leaves, or bark, these trees deserve the spotlight.
Among the trees featured in the video are:

-Gold Rush Dawn Redwood
-London Plane Tree
-White Fir
-Sweetgum
-Western Redcedar
-Northern Red Oak
-Tulip Tree
-Honey Locust

The Urban Tree Tour video promotes the City’s dedication to accessibility and inclusion because you can watch it anywhere, anytime, no matter what your ability!

Learn about each trees’ history, why they are remarkable, and which season is best to view them in. The trees are also marked and numbered with green signage to help identify them.
