NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh outlines motion calling for David Johnston to step down – May 29, 2023

NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh speaks with reporters on Parliament Hill to outline his party’s opposition day motion that will be debated the following day in the House of Commons. The motion calls on David Johnston to step aside as the federal government’s special rapporteur on foreign interference, and reiterates the NDP’s call for a public inquiry. He is joined by NDP MP Jenny Kwan, who confirms that the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) informed her during a recent briefing that she is a target of foreign interference by the Chinese government.
