Conservative MPs comment ahead of Alexandre Trudeau’s appearance at House ethics committee

Conservative MPs Michael Barrett and Luc Berhold speak with reporters as the House of Commons ethics committee continues its study on foreign interference in Canadian elections.

Alexandre Trudeau, the younger brother of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and a member of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation, is appearing before the committee to discuss a controversial donation made to the foundation that bears his late father’s name. The foundation has been under scrutiny due to a donation it received in 2016 from two Chinese businessmen linked to the Chinese government. (May 5, 2023)
