June 3, 2021 at 9:39 am  Kamloops, Municipal, Politics

Mayor Ken Christian addresses the tragic discovery at Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc in his Mayor’s Report at the June 1 Council Meeting.

The City of Kamloops stands in solidarity with our neighbours at Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc and are following their lead in how we can honour the victims of the recent horrific discovery and support their families, the survivors, and the community. In the spirit of Truth and Reconciliation, any action the City takes in relation to this tragedy will be with the blessing of Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc leadership and will move us forward in acknowledging, learning, and enacting change.
