Environmental studies faculty member Dr. Michael Mehta is astonished to see people in Kamloops engaging in outdoor activities, despite the city being blanketed in wildfire smoke. “I saw people jogging, cycling, a lot of elderly people that were going for their regular walks like it was just an everyday day,” Mehta told CBC News.
