TRU Mosaic Fashion Show – TRU Newsroom
After a 6-year hiatus, the Mosaic Fashion Show is returning on March 3rd, 2023 in the TRU Grand Hall with a new “Glam Vintage” theme! The show will be jam-packed with entertainment. The pre-show, taking place from 5-7pm just outside the Grand Hall, will be filled with local vendors to get you in a fashion state of mind. Once you’ve snagged your unique pieces, enter the Gastby-esque show in the TRU Grand Hall. The show itself will display a wide variety of clothing styles donated by 5 local businesses:
- Blue Sky Clothing
- Northern Reflections
- The Ruby Room
- Perspectives Streetwear
- Ricki’s
At roughly the halfway point in the show, we will have a special performance from Jeremy Kneeshaw. Following the show, join us for our after party at Kamloops’ newest and hottest nightclub, Nightshift on 5th! Best of all, we have scrapped the idea that elite events need to be priced for the rich. A base ticket for the show will be $15 for TRU students and $20 for the general public. VIP seating (1st and 2nd row) will be $30 and is extremely limited.
The event was the brainchild of local event planner Kristen Jacobsen in her final year at TRU, and has been assisted by her colleagues, Thelma Christina Salinas and Aiyalan Sagynay along the way. The show will be inclusive of all genders, sexualities, body types and cultures. The pre-show and main show will be all-ages; however, you must be 19+ to enter the after party. For this reason, the after party cover charge is not included in a base ticket and will be $15 at the door (no pre-sales). However, those who are of legal age and holding a Mosaic ticket will be able to skip the around-the-block lineup at Nightshift on 5th until 10:00pm!
