STARS Platinum Celebratory Open House – TRU Newsroom

November 22, 2022 at 3:49 pm  Education, Kamloops, News

For the second time, TRU has earned the STARS Platinum rating for our sustainability initiatives and achievements from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). As the first in Canada to achieve platinum twice, and one of only 12 institutions worldwide to earn the highest ranking possible, it is reason to celebrate!

Drop by our STARS Platinum Celebratory Open House, grab a free drink and snack, enter to win a prize valued at $150 and learn how to get involved in sustainability at TRU. At 12:30 pm, James Gordon, Manager of Sustainability Programs will share a few words.

We aim to continue to raise the bar in what it needs to be a sustainable university, and to do that, we need all of our community to get involved and continue to make sustainable actions however big or small they may be.

Congratulations to everyone who played a part in this great achievement.
