United Conservative Party of Alberta holds final leadership debate – August 30, 2022

In Edmonton, United Conservative Party of Alberta leadership contenders Danielle Smith, Brian Jean, Todd Loewen, Leela Aheer, Rebecca Schulz, Travis Toews and Rajan Sawhney take part in the second of two scheduled debates. The candidates are seeking to replace Alberta Premier Jason Kenney, who announced his resignation on May 18, 2022, after winning only a slim majority of approval from the party in a leadership review. The party will announce its new leader on October 6, 2022.
