Dr. Mike Flannigan, wildfire expert at Thompson Rivers University, says he didn’t think he would see such powerful fires as California’s McKinney fire for another 20 years. ““The signal is clear: this is due to human-caused climate change,” he told the Los Angeles Times. “It can’t be any clearer than that. It’s happening more rapidly than I would have expected. This is my field, and this is surprising how rapidly things are changing.” Read more
