In Winnipeg, Dr. Brent Roussin, Manitoba’s chief public health officer, announces that the province is expanding COVID-19 vaccine eligibility to children six months to four years of age. This announcement comes following Health Canada’s authorization of Moderna’s Spikevax mRNA vaccine for use in children aged six months to five years old. He responds to questions from reporters on whether there are plans to expand second-dose booster eligibility for all Manitobans and the possibility of a resumption of mask mandates as cases continue to rise in the province.
