Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland holds a news conference in Grimsby, Ontario, after touring a skills training centre and meeting with union workers. She is joined by Filomena Tassi, the minister of public services and procurement and MP for Hamilton West–Ancaster–Dundas, Lisa Hepfner, MP for Hamilton Mountain and Joseph Mancinelli, international vice president and regional manager for central & eastern Canada, LiUNA. She responds to questions on the decline in home prices and the impact that may have on new housing starts, the necessity of maintaining the ArriveCan app for travellers entering Canada and the federal government’s approach to dealing with increasing gas prices and the high cost of living.
