Speaking with reporters at the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village near Edmonton, Alberta Premier Jason Kenney announces new funding for displaced Ukrainians arriving in the province, which includes temporary financial assistance to cover basic living expenses as well as a child-care subsidy for children under 12 years of age. He is joined by Matt Jones (minister of children’s services), Jackie Armstrong-Homeniuk (associate minister of status of women), and Orysia Boychuk (president of the Canadian Ukrainian Congress – Alberta Provincial Council). The premier responds to questions on the rollout of these new financial supports as well as rising inflation and affordability issues in the province.
