National Family and Survivors Circle urges implementation of MMIWG action plan – June 3, 2022

In Ottawa, Hilda Anderson-Pyrz, chair of the National Family and Survivors Circle (NFSC), calls for accountability on the implementation of the action plan on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people. She highlights recommendations made by the NFSC regarding the plan, including the establishment of a human rights ombudsperson and tribunal. Today marks the first anniversary of the release of the national action plan.
