PM Trudeau unveils plaque with Dutch Princess Margriet in Ottawa – May 13, 2022

At Beechwood National Military Cemetery in Ottawa, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Princess Margriet of the Netherlands participate in a plaque unveiling ceremony to honour Canadian General Charles Foulkes, who negotiated Germany’s surrender in the Netherlands during the Second World War. The princess was born in Ottawa in 1943, while her family was in exile in Canada.
