Prime Minister Justin Trudeau attends Eid prayers service – May 2, 2022

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau delivers remarks at a prayer service in Ottawa with members of the Muslim community celebrating Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan. He is joined by federal ministers Omar Alghabra (transport) and Mona Fortier (Treasury Board president), Liberal MPP Lucille Collard (Ottawa-Vanier), and Sam Bhalesar (Ontario Liberal candidate for Ottawa West-Nepean). Ontario NDP candidates Morgan Gay (Ottawa South) and Chanadra Pasma (Ottawa West–Nepean), as well as representatives from the Muslim Association of Canada and Islamic Relief Canada also take part in the event.
