BC Interior Community Foundation (BCICF) is delighted to announce Wenda Noonan as the organization’s new executive director.

“We are so excited about this announcement as Wenda brings to this position decades of community and fundraising experience and almost 10 years of involvement with the BC Interior Community Foundation as a past community partner, member of the board of directors and a past
vice-president of the organization,” BCICF Board President Greg Peace.

Wenda comes to BCICF after a long history of working within our community with many local
non-profits, charities and special events. Confident in the idea people want and love to hear about
and do good in our neighbourhoods, Wenda co-founded the Downtown and North Shore Echo,
weekly publications designed to provide community members with their own voice and spread
positivity within our city.

She has a proven track record of working collaboratively with many local charity and non-profit entities and her dedication and passion for our region can be seen through the multitude of professional and community roles she has served in throughout her career.

“The Foundation has deep roots in our community and benefits everyone,” Wenda said. “We are continually striving to help donors fulfill their philanthropic goals and also ensure local groups continue to have access to a growing pool of funds for their community projects and initiatives.

Since 1984, the BCICF has supported communities in the Thompson, Nicola and South Cariboo regions, managing over $10 million in endowed assets. This year, they have $600,000 of annual
investment income to disburse to the communities within its area.
