British Columbia Premier John Horgan holds a news conference in Victoria to highlight a $30-million commitment from his government’s 2022 budget to improve the province’s watersheds. He is joined by Josie Osborne (provincial minister of land, water and resource stewardship), Lydia Hwitsum (chief of the Cowichan Tribes), and Zita Bothelo (director of Watersheds BC). The premier also responds to questions on other issues including the COVID-19 situation in B.C. and Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine. Horgan is among the 61 Canadians who are now banned from entering Russia following new sanctions announced by the Russian government.
