YKA Now, The New ‘One Stop Shop’ for Activity Registration in Kamloops
KAMLOOPS, British Columbia – After spending so long apart, the Kamloops Sports Council has launched YKA Now (ykanow.ca) as a ‘one-stop shop’ for registration in Kamloops. The new registration platform will act as a simplified solution to the community’s registration conundrum from TRU Wolfpack tickets to local events such as Boogie the Bridge, soccer practices, dance classes, and art socials.
Fostering sports, art, culture, and events, YKA Now allows the community of Kamloops and beyond to discover, register, and stay up to date on all their activities on one common platform.
“Over the years, we’ve recognized a real demand for one place where families can go to coordinate their activities. Do hockey tryouts conflict with the soccer season? Can dance classes be worked around volunteering for an upcoming event?” said Henry Pejril, the Kamloops Sports Council president.
Pejril adds, “As event organizers, we understand the importance of registration, ticketing and scheduling systems to ensure a well-run event or activity. These needs and a real opportunity to support all local activities – whether with the community, sports, arts, or culture – led us to create YKA Now. We are committed to making this the “one-stop shop” for all activities in Kamloops. It’s our mandate to support local organizations. If your group is planning an event, give us a try!”
YKA Now strives to highlight and promote a lifestyle of sport, art, culture and events; while providing and facilitating an effortless one-stop shop for Kamloops at no cost to the host organization.
If you are part of or know of an organization, group, event, or activity that could host its registration needs on YKA Now, contact Elsa Poppleton at firstname.lastname@example.org. And for more information, follow YKA_Now on Instagram and visit ykanow.ca to sign up for an activity. What will you do next?
