Nunavut announces easing of COVID-19 restrictions – February 22, 2022

In Iqaluit, P.J. Akeeagok, premier of Nunavut, and Dr. Michael Patterson, Nunavut’s chief medical officer of health, provide an update on the territory’s response to COVID-19. Dr. Patterson announces the easing of COVID-19 restrictions in the territory starting February 28, including measures to increase the size of private gatherings and allowing licensed businesses and restaurants to re-open with reduced capacity limits. Nunavut ministers John Main (health), Arreak Lightstone (finance), and Pamela Gross (education) are also in attendance.
