COVID-19: Nunavut announces $3.25 million in pandemic supports – January 27, 2022

In Iqaluit, P.J. Akeeagok, premier of Nunavut, Dr. Michael Patterson, Nunavut’s chief medical officer of health, and John Main, minister of health, provide an update on the territory’s response to COVID-19 (coronavirus disease). They are joined by Margaret Nakashuk, minister of family services, and Pamela Gross, minister of education. The territory will distribute $3.25 million in emergency funds to help ease food insecurity and homelessness for eligible residents, communities, and non-profit groups.
