Tree Planting Event – TRU Newsroom

October 20, 2021 at 5:55 pm  Education, Kamloops, News

The last tree planting event of the season for the TRU Campus Tree Program will be Thursday, Oct 21 starting at noon at the front of parking lot N (behind North Tower).

We anticipate it will go to 5 or 6 PM, but we won’t know when it will end until we know how many volunteers register.

We will plant a new forest of 51 large saplings (approx. 2 to 3 feet tall) along the trail that starts there. Trees will consist of seventeen each of Aspens, Ponderosa Pines and Douglas Firs.

Volunteers are still needed, so please email sustain@tru.ca and indicate what times you can participate for.

And if volunteers can even come for 30 mins and help plant one tree, then that’s great!
