Relieving Stress Through Art: An art therapy workshop using desk supplies
How do we manage our stress? With work, relationships, finances and the demands in life, our levels of stress can reach a point where it can be difficult to cope with. If we don’t learn to let it out in some way, stress can damage our health, relationships and quality of life. This 60-minute Art Therapy workshop focuses on relieving stress and tension in the middle of the work day. It will provide a safe space for participants to express their emotional needs and connect them to their creativity, intuition and unique self-expression. They will be guided through a breathing exercise and two Art Therapy directives. No art experience or skill is required to participate, it is open to anyone who wants to learn a creative way to cope with the busyness of daily life.
Meet Your Presenter
Erica Pang is a professional Art Therapist and artist. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Emily Carr University and a Master’s level diploma from the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute. Since she was young, she has used art as a tool for healing, expression and self-discovery, so she deeply believes in the power of the creative process and art making. She has been an Art Therapist for the past 4 years working with adults and seniors in various settings but has recently transitioned her private practice to the online world, where she has the opportunity to connect with people all over the world. She expresses herself best through acrylic paint on canvas — using energy, color, and intuition as her inspiration. Art is her life and life is her art, there is no separation.
