Government of Canada’s Reaching Home: Canada’s Homelessness Strategy – Call for Proposals
Kamloops, BC – The City of Kamloops has issued a call for proposals for eligible projects under the Government of Canada’s Reaching Home: Canada’s Homelessness Strategy (Reaching Home).
Reaching Home is a community-based program aimed at preventing and reducing homelessness across Canada. This program provides direct funding to urban, Indigenous, rural, and remote communities to help them address their local homelessness needs.
To help address the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic among people experiencing or at risk of homelessness and to provide additional support to the homeless-serving sector during this period, the Government of Canada has announced an additional funding investment into the Reaching Home program.
The City is the community entity and is responsible for administering and managing federal Reaching Home funding for the Designated Communities funding stream. The community entity also works closely with an advisory board and various community partners to help ensure funding is allocated where it is most needed.
This call for proposals is to allocate the Reaching Home COVID-19 funding available in the Designated Communities funding stream.
To respond to the Reaching Home call for proposals, visit Kamloops.ca/Grants. The deadline to submit an application is June 9, 2021.
