Show Up/Be Seen/Live Brave ™ – TRU Newsroom
CMHA Mental Health Week—Feature Presentation
Join this Lunch and Learn presentation and add to your mental health toolkit with Show Up/Be Seen/Live Brave by Celeste Schell, co-owner and full-time therapist at Synergy Counselling Associates in Kamloops. This event is hosted by CUPE and TRU People and Culture, Health and Well-Being.
This presentation is based on Dr. Brené Brown’s findings on how concepts such as shame, vulnerability and fear of criticism can stand in the way of people reaching for their dreams and goals. We will discuss some of the internal processes that work to “keep us safe” but end up holding us back. We will discover cognitive behavioural tools that can propel us forward.
Please note: This Lunch and Learn will be held via Zoom. Register in advance to receive a calendar invite and Zoom link from Campus Wellness Advisor Joy Demsey. If you do not receive an email please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that TRU OLFM’s are unable to invoice their time when attending this presentation.
