Creating a Strong Foundation of Health – TRU Newsroom
Create a healthier you by attending part three of the four-part Nutrition Series hosted by TRU People and Culture—Health and Well-being.
The series is presented by Angie Olson and Eve Ridler of Active Education Coaching.
Part 3: Creating a Strong Foundation of Health
In this session you will learn that there is much more to achieving your health goals than “eat this to achieve lasting results.” Discover the key factors that create a strong foundation of health. If one of these elements is ‘off,’ it can have a domino effect on the others.
A strong foundation of health consists of:
- Sleep. We will discuss the role that sleep plays in recovery and hormones, and how a lack of sleep affects all goals and causes more than just a tired day.
- Water/Hydration. Up to 60% of the human body is made up of water for a reason—we need it. Learn the health benefits of water and potential side effects that can occur if you do not consume enough.
- Movement. Our bodies are made to move. Movement is a fundamental aspect of optimal health and is responsible for circulation, metabolism, health, digestion, regulating hormones and more! We will talk about it all and provide tips on how you can add a little more movement into your life.
- Nutrition. Proper nutrition goes far beyond talking about how it affects your weight. Proper nutrition is important for a strong foundation of health and reducing many diseases.
