The Kamloops Film Society is excited to announce a new five tier membership structure for Society patrons. The five Memberships range in cost from $5 to $2,500 and feature such benefits as access to FREE and Toonie screenings, a $2 per ticket discount, free film tickets, free concession snacks, FREE parking in the Delta Hotels by Marriott Kamloops parking lot, and much much more. The new Membership structure replaces the former Membership structure that saw $1 from every ticket bought go toward a membership. Each Membership will be for one year from date of purchase and can be renewed at a discount.
“As the Film Society has grown and evolved, we wanted to expand our Membership Structure to one that promotes engagement with our Society and gives Members tangible benefits. Now that we operate the Paramount Theatre, there were some great additions we could make to the offerings. After a great deal of research, we came up with a structure that we feel is exciting, representative, and holds tremendous value for the Members. We encourage all our patrons to join us.”
– Dušan Magdolen, Executive Director
Filmgoer – $5
Film Buff – $20
Film Hound – $100
Film Enthusiast – $500
Film Aficionado – $2,500

In conjunction with the announcement of the new Membership Structure, the society has unveiled new ticket pricing, which will see prices for all tickets increase by $2 starting with the October 2 films. However, this increase can be mitigated by becoming a Film Buff Member and receiving $2 off every ticket one buys for themselves for the whole year.
To encourage new members, the Society has programmed 4 FREE MEMBER MOVIES and 3 LOONEY TOONIE MEMBER MOVIES for October. These films are FREE and $2 respectively and only available to Members of the Kamloops Film Society.
The Free Member Movies replace the Free Family Flicks offerings from last year and the Looney Toonie Member Movies are a new initiative, with both designed to make films accessible to everyone in the community.
