KAMLOOPS, B.C. – The Kamloops Symphony is pleased to announce the formation of a new experimental Outreach series, which they are calling the “KSO Wellness Lab”.
This will be a new series of KSO performance initiatives, specifically designed to provide nurturing, calming, and uplifting experiences. These intimate concert experiences aim to help audience members to improve their physical and mental wellness through accessible and inclusive programming intended to be as inspiring for the audience as much as the performers involved. These experiences will also feature musical works that are not part of the standard repertoire, providing an opportunity for an increased diversity of artistic voices.
Launching in late September, the first few “experiments” of the KSO Wellness Lab are a series of pop-up string quartet performances throughout Kamloops on September 26 & 27, and a Pro-Amateur jam session with a selection of KSO musicians and invited local players coming together in a relaxed atmosphere to create beautiful music together.
