Kamloops Children’s Arts Festival takes on a dazzling theme with “Starlight, Starbright” Dec. 21st – 25th 2020 Virtually

Kamloops, BC – Starlight, Starbright, the Kamloops Children’s Arts Festival is on for five glorious nights! Well, virtually that is! So be sure to show off your star power by joining us at the 21st annual Kamloops Children’s Arts Festival on December 21st to the 25th and be part of this “sparkling” event.

The Festival gives all children in the Kamloops area, ages 2 and up, the chance to try out different art forms. Unlike the majority of kids’ festivals in the province, thanks to sponsors and supporters, the Kamloops event is completely free.

Terri Hadwin, Executive Director of the Kamloops Arts Council notes, “although we are disappointed to not be able to host the 21st Annual Children’s Arts Festival at Riverside Park again this year, we wanted to make sure that we were able to provide the families of our community and surrounding communities an opportunity to learn about and immerse themselves in the arts. We felt like the winter break was a good time to move the event as it will give families free activities to do while taking a reprieve from school and work. I am very excited about the early nighttime theme that we have in the winter months, ‘Starlight, starbright’ and I think the families and children will love the arts activities we have planned for them!”

This year we have had to change things up a little bit and will be offering workshops and performances online for an hour every day from December 21 st to the 25th . You can go on a musical adventure with Kiki the Echo Elf, learn about the Voices of Nature with the amazing musical group The Wilds Band, explore the world of magic with some “tricks you can do at home” with the incredible Clinton W. Gray and learn some awesome theatre tips and tricks with WTC’s Stage One Theatre School. Not to mention sing-alongs with the Princesses, dance parties, stories, crafts and so much more.

Be sure to stayed tuned and get ready to SHINE.
