Back to School and Back to Fitness at the TCC
Kamloops, BC – The City of Kamloops is excited to welcome residents and Thompson Rivers University (TRU) students back to their fall routine at the Tournament Capital Centre (TCC). From September 8–11, 2020, facility users will be eligible to win a variety of memberships or TCC punch card options.
In addition, individuals who attend the TCC between the hours of 12:00 noon and 1:00 pm will be able to sample a free smoothie from Taste Kitchen Inc., which is located in the TCC’s main lobby.
“We are always excited for the fall to welcome back facility users, whether they are TRU students or individuals and families,” said Sean Smith, the City’s Business Operations and Events Supervisor. “We have an amazing facility and are happy to have our full gym and indoor track and courts open for the public as a safe place to recreate.”
We ask that you do not enter the TCC if you’re feeling ill, if you’ve been exposed to the COVID-19 virus, or if you’ve recently travelled outside of the country. Please obey safety signs and practise physical distancing—floor markings will delineate flow throughout the building. Cleaning and safety protocols, as outlined by the Province, are in place to mitigate risk and protect the health and safety of facility users and staff. Please be patient, be respectful to staff and other patrons, and abide by set time limits on equipment.
The TCC indoor track, Wellness Centre, and Athlete Performance Centre are open Monday–Saturday, 6:30 am–6:30 pm. Hillside Stadium is open 5:30 am–10:00 pm daily. The Canada Games Aquatic Centre remains closed as the infrastructure improvement project is still in progress.
For more information on the TCC, including hours, rates, and available programs, visit Kamloops.ca/TCC.
New to the TCC? All facility users are now required to have a PerfectMind account to recreate at the TCC. Visit Kamloops.ca/PerfectMind to set up an account before your first visit to save time and spend less time in line!
