Kamloops Fire Rescue Responding to Structure Fires in Rayleigh

July 31, 2020 at 4:34 pm  Kamloops, Municipal, News

Kamloops Fire Rescue (KFR) is currently responding to three simultaneous structure fires in the Rayleigh neighbourhood.

The initial report was of one house fully engulfed, which quickly spread to a neighbouring house. Shortly thereafter, a third house caught fire on a nearby street. The cause of the fires is under investigation.

Crews responded quickly to contain the fires and prevent further spread, and are working to extinguish the flames.

Residents are asked to avoid the area and obey all crews on site. KFR would also like to remind residents that Kamloops is drying out and to practice fire safety this weekend.
