People, Policy, Potential – TRU Newsroom

The TRU Society of Law Students present their annual conference, with this year’s title beingPower: Policy, People, and Potential.

The conference is a platform for a variety of lawyers, leaders, and scholars to discuss their views onthe power of the law. Topics will be as broad as:

  • Indigenous rights
  • energy law
  • LGBTQ2 rights
  • rule of law.

SCHEDULE AND MORE INFO
Some of the questions to be examined, include:

  • How can policy be used as a tool to engage with current crises?
  • How can marginalized people use the law as a vehicle for empowerment?
  • Does the law have the potential to influence positive change?
