The campus community is invited to attend a presentation by Dr. Lillian Hung, candidate for the position of Canada Research Chair in Nursing and Population Health.

Hung’s presentation, Harnessing technology to support senior care, focuses on the use of personal robots that are commonly used for therapeutic purposes in dementia research. Learn about PARO, the therapeutic seal, which is an autonomous robot that is similar in weight to a newborn human baby, and has five sensors that are processed by artificial intelligence software that enable PARO to respond to the user, and to the environment.
